Hi, I’m Dimitri Koopman, the artist behind KOODIMI. I’ve been creating for as long as I can remember, starting with pencils and paper as a child, and later evolving into 3D modeling and design. In 2022, I discovered 3D printing, which opened up a whole new world of possibilities for bringing both functional and visually striking designs to life.
My art is all about emotion—capturing a mood or feeling through simple gestures and bold, vivid colors. I’m particularly drawn to hand gestures and symbols, many of which carry deeper meanings connected to self-exploration and certain states of mind. Each piece is a blend of digital precision and hands-on craftsmanship, using 3D printing to create complex forms and combining them with luxury materials like wood and metals to add a touch of elegance.
Creating isn’t always easy. 3D printing involves plenty of trial and error, and every piece needs adjustments, sanding, and finishing to truly come to life. But that’s what I love most about the process—the chance to shape something until it resonates with me on an emotional level. It’s this journey that makes each creation feel deeply personal.
My hope is that my work connects with you, too. I want my pieces to evoke the same emotional response I feel when I create them, to spark a sense of connection and meaning. Pieces like the Mudra of Insight took countless hours to perfect, but their impact is worth every moment.
Outside of art, I find inspiration in meditation, reading, and drawing. I’m a deeply emotional person, and that resonates in my work—I believe art is a reflection of the soul. For me, creativity has no limits, and expressing yourself fully is the key to unlocking that infinite potential.
